PUROLATOR SUCKS

Last Tuesday, the hubby ordered a new macbook online. It normally takes a day or two for these online orders to get delivered. So when it wasn't delivered last week, we started wondering what was going on. On Saturday, the hubby finally checked the 'track your order' link on the receipt sent to him by Apple. It said that 'the package is ready for pick-up at the Purolator store'.

WHAT?! Why do we have to pick it up? They're supposed to deliver it!

So the hubby called Purolator. And guess what they said?

They tried to deliver it on Thursday but nobody was home.

First of all, when there's a delivery for us, the guardhouse calls up to make sure we're home. But did I get any phone calls?
NO. Secondly, if they did try to come, weren't they supposed to leave a note saying 'we tried to deliver something... blah blah... since you weren't home, please pick up your package at... blah blah... whatever..."?! But... nope... No notes, whatsoever...

When the hubby asked why they didn't leave a note, they said that it's their policy to not leave notes for expensive products. Oh-kay? Fine. Let's just say that was the case, why didn't they call to inform us that they tried to deliver it... blah blah... and it was ready for pick up at wherever? We're not psychics, you know. Well, according to the person the hubby spoke to, they did call to inform us that it was ready for pick up. Hmmm. We both checked our phones- but no received or missed calls from them or from any unknown numbers. So the hubby asked what number they called since we're both sure we didn't receive any calls from them. And guess what? They didn't have it on file. It's supposed to be on the receipt that came with the package. UGH!!!

So the hubby picked up the package today and asked the people there about what happened but they still insisted that they did leave a message informing us about the package... blah blah... WHATEVER! And no, they didn't have our phone number! Go figure! And the worst thing about this incident: NOT A SINGLE PERSON FROM PUROLATOR APOLOGIZED.

Next time we order anything online, we will specifically request
NOT to have PUROLATOR deliver it.

  1. A lot of packages get delivered to my house... about 50% of them are for people not living in my house.... you know what I mean? Should I charge these people some kind of fee? LOL

  3. Ya, I know.
    Purolator sucks ass!
The retarded fuck who supposed to deliver the package to me last week reported to his office that my address is wrong. So I had to call Purolator and give my address again, and now that retarded fuck has reported to purolator that I wasn’t at home ( I was at home the whole day). x(
They didn’t even inform me about it. I randomly called them to check that status of my package and they said I have to go and pick the item from their fucking depot. WTF! The package sender paid fucking money to deliver the shit to me.

Don’t ever send your parcel via purolator. Purolator sucks ass!

  4. Purolator they really sucks. Their drivers are lazy. May be they are not but they are burned with lots of deliveries and pick up, So cannot keep up. (still not my problem) Purolator doesn;t want to hire more people as compared to their work committment. ( still not my problem)

Most often their deliveries are not done and various lies posted on tracking system to make fool out of you. The mistake is put on recipient.

Their regular excuses are : address correction required, customer not available, customer refused package etc. These claims are made by driver in most cases to avoid more work. This is done even before coming to customer's premises.

Just don;t trust purolator, They really suck. Don;t waste your time, money and your important business with them.
Just avoid them ... they are crapiest company I have ever seen in this country..

Not to talk about customer service... mostly your phones will not be picked up or it will be on hold for long. Even if you manage to get them on phone, she or he will repeat same thing what is written on tracking. No help or means to solve problem will ever be suggested by them.

"I don;t know " attitude of customer service is what is making them one of the worst courier service here..

Keep them out of business. They are absolutely jokers. Their seniors hide behind those poor customer service girls and toll free numbers. There is no way and means to even complain and some how fix the situation.

I am totally annoyed with these jokers. wonder how they are even in business????

  5. I wonder how these morons stay in business?

I made an order from SONY and 3 weeks went by without delivery. I found Puro-useless was the courier. They made ONE attempt to deliver on a weekday and with no answer they took it back to there depot and ended up returning it to SONY. There excuse was they had no phone number and DO NOT leave notices when they can't deliver. I totally lost my temper with there custor service and SONY over this, I will never order anything that is delivered by Puro-useless again

  6. Most of you people are retards anyways. You know nothing about logistics. We recently switched all our services to Purolator...do you wanna know why...because the rest suck even more. Gotta love my UPS bill when it comes in with back charges from 3 weeks ago. At least Purolator lets me know that week.

And if you think a driver really wants to try an make a second delivery because he didnt feel like it that day...ya...that's how billion dollar companies operate.

  7. yeah, they are all the same. As soon as they got your money, who cares if they deliver it to your door. I live in a rural area and I always have to pick up my parcel at their frikken warehouse in the city. But to top it off, they close at 5pm, right when I get home from work. SO I can't pick it up. They say they came and no one home is fulla crap. My wifes a stay at home mom. Crooks! Delivery to your door my ass LAZY ASS Corn Cake Eating Rim lickin' back door pounding sloths. PUROLATOR, UPS, FedEX are all lazy. Hate all their service because they can't deliver and put the blame on us.

  8. they really suck, I ordered a computer for school .It took 2 weeks to be shipped off from dell.I live in a student house close my University.I wanted the package redirect to where I work but the said I have to wait until the package is delivered to the wrong address fist then I can redirect. On the day of the delivery I was expecting to see a note that they came and I wasnt there. To my surprise I saw delivered and signed for by my name.I immediately went home it took about 15mins,didnt see the package at the front and began asking anyone if they signed for it.Everyone denies it, and now purolator is claiming they are not responsible for the loss of the expensive computer. This cannot be fair, anyone can sign for the package under my name and now they want to say I am to just accept it, what can I do?

  9. Let's see if I understand this correctly. A shipment going to a building with a guard house (what if the guard didn't really call to see if you were home), a label with a bad address (probably the shipper's fault), an individual who only decides to track his shipment after 3 weeks (what's up with that), someone in a rural area ("go past the 2nd farmhouse and turn right after the cow pasture") and a student who has a shipment sent to an address that he no longer lives at (get off the dope, dude).

It is easy to blame Purolator but let's be honest, I don't think it would have matter who the courier company was. The end result would have been the same.

  10. Sounds like the worst delivery service EVER, and I have something thats going to be delivered from them tomorrow... We'll see how it goes, I just might be back to post angry comments like you all after the next day, and an extremely angry phone call telling Dell, I will never shop from you ever again if you ship with Purolator. If we all did that, maybe they'll run out of business :P (and this technically is a commercial delivery b/c they're delivering for Dell but to residents who have bought their products, which means we CAN influence a company's decision on a shipping company if we're all angry enough about it! Imagine getting 100s of calls /week from customers saying they'll never shop with you again b/c pf Purolator!)

  11. I had the same problem with them. No note or phone call!
I am newer going to use their service again.

  12. Yeah, Purolator really sucks. I was watiting for my new cellphone to arrive today, but apparently the package had been "refused" at my location twice, and now "address correction is required". Of course, I called the company I ordered the product from, and they have the correct address. It's just Purolator being dumb and messing up my address!! I've never had any problems with UPS or Fedex... Purolator sucks!

  13. Randy Stomp the Manager @ Purolator never called me back. I left seven voice mail messages for him. The Corporate office needs to do something with this mess. I will never use them or advise anyone else to do so. Randy I hope you get fired! You are an ahole! Bottom line- Purolator is no FedEx. The US Post Office is much better service than Purolator USA- Take your service back to Canada and get out of the US because you and Mr. Randy suck!

  14. If you want your Parcel delivered, do not use Purolator USA- Seriously!!!!

  15. Purolator is awful. They hire lazy ass drivers who lie. Was home the whole day it was supposed to arrive and puro-LATER did not call/buzz, knock, leave a message, or note. When we called we were asked to pick it up , but first they had to look for the package which took them 4 hours but funny thing is they did not call to let us know. We called again, frustrated and found out it was sitting on their front desk. What a retarded, shitty, incompetent excuse for a business let alone courier service. Their tracking system seems to be suspiciously flawed too. There are no excuses, this happens to many people and the shippers cant always be making the mistakes.

    1. You would be suprised how an order desk is not linked with the shipping desk. They basically can screw up in shipping, sho yes shippers do screw up often.

    Start from the bottom.

I ordered a pair of headphones from NCIX. Paid for premium Express shipping.

On Wednesday, they attempt to deliver and fail. They gave me time range 8-5, as you can see, they attempted at 645pm, when I left.

Thursday, July 1 - Canada Day, no deliveries.

Friday, July 2nd - I call them and tell them to leave at their shipping center for me to pickup. They assure me the package will be there after 630pm. I come there at 745, and they tell me the fucking driver forgot to unload it off the truck and its now on the way to their sorting center 400km's away. FUCK. Then they tell me that they will attempt delivery again Monday.

Saturday, July 3rd - I call their Customer Service and kinly ask them to deliver the package to my work instead. They tell me, sure, but they will still attempt Monday delivery, but then will do Tuesday delivery to my work.

Monday, July 5th - They dont even attempt to deliver to my home, instead for some reason at 820pm it gets rescheduled (???) and picked up (???) from somewhere to go somewhere else (???)

Tuesday, July 6th - I'm at work eagerly awaiting package. Come 730, i see that it was fucking rescheduled again. What the fuck?!!! Who the fuck is rescheduling these things? They never even tried to deliver it, I'd know. So I call their Customer Service center again, they tell me they launched a trace on the package, and provided me with reference # and told me that a woman named Barbara will call me in the morning tomorrow.

I mean, wtf? I even paid for the Express Delivery and I get this fucking bullshit rape of an experience. And they never really attempted deliveries to my home, there are no notices of any kind nor missed phone calls.

    Fuck.

So pissed off right now, had to vent out.

    /rant.

  21. I'm pretty sure purolator doesn't even try to ship to apartments, they always say the same thing that there's no buzzer attached to the packages, but if that's the case - are the drivers to ignorant to match the name on the package to the name on the lobbylist?

Also, their drivers don't carry phones, shows how up with the times the company is...

    ReplyDelete
  22. Many of the comments on this page may be justified, however, there's a nicer way to express yourselves.
Yes, large shipping companies do make mistakes, however, bear in mind that they move millions of packages on a daily basis, resources are often overstretched. Further more there is a price war between all the larger companies which is driving down profits and quality whilst taking on more volume, a poor mix.
To top this many drivers are overloaded with work, sometimes covering 2 routes handled previously by 2 drivers.
So before you rant your heart out, give it some thought.

  23. The last post on Nov 18 was the first in this long list of whining that actually makes any sense. There is one very simple way to make sure your package arrives on time: give the shipper ALL of your information. Your FULL address including unit #, buzz code, any special directions etc. Give them your phone number. Couriers aren't psychic.
They also don't have time to search a board of 1000 names to find one John Smith. A lot of these Purolator guys do upwards of 130 stops per day. In a 9 hour day with no lunch (which most of them don't take) that works out to 12(ish) stops per hour. That's one stop every 5 minutes. Finding the package, driving to the address, walking from the closest spot to park, delivering the package(s), getting a signature, and walking back to the truck in 5 minutes. For nine hours straight. Can you even imagine how hard that is?

  24. Purolator just had their slip stick on our door without even trying to use our doorbell. I asked for a day off just to receive the package because it was kind of urgent. And we paid a shipping fee for that. I called Purolator and told them about it. They apologize and delivered the next day. This happened twice already on different occasions. I hope the companies will stop using purolator as their courier.
